Do you believe that everyone should have access to affordable, high-quality healthcare? Are you also up for a sporting challenge? If you answered yes to both questions, then join Viva Salud for the Brussels 20 km race!
On 31 May 2020, we will be running through our beautiful capital city to draw attention to the importance of public healthcare. Whether here in Belgium, in the Philippines, Palestine or Congo, the privatisation of healthcare is a threat to our healthcare system.
Every kilometre travelled will be dedicated to our fight for a strong public healthcare system!
We are looking for 100 participants to raise a total of €20,000! That's €200 per person or €1,000 per kilometre. The money raised will enable us to campaign to put public healthcare at the top of the political agenda, both in Belgium and in southern countries.
Your enthusiasm, combined with the advice, support and testimonials from our partners, will enable you to rise to the challenge of fundraising and running 20 km!
So, are you ready to help us and have a great day? Sign up now!

Tips and examples for effective fundraising
In addition to the sporting challenge, we have another challenge to meet: raising as much money as possible for the campaign for public healthcare that Viva Salud and its partners are running in Belgium, Palestine, Congo and the Philippines.
As soon as you register, you can start looking for sponsors: people who are willing to support you. The sooner you start, the more you will find!
We will be happy to give you the best advice and good examples. By starting early, the success of your fundraising campaign is guaranteed!
Why campaign for a strong public healthcare system?
Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right that is best guaranteed when healthcare is organised by an authority under democratic control. Privatisation threatens this right because private interests (making profits) often do not coincide with public interests (quality, affordable care). Our dossier «Why public healthcare is superior» will tell you more.
