Climate Change Network for Community-Based Initiatives (CCNCI) is a consortium of NGOs active in different disciplines and sectors. After Cyclone Haiyan in 2013, these organisations decided to build a network to try and formulate solutions to climate change. Alongside Solidagro, Viva Salud is working with this Filipino network in their fight for the right to health and food.
With this project, the CCNCI is targeting the most vulnerable groups in society, because climate change affects everyone. The method used is the ART method, a visual learning process that shows the causes of climate change and exposes those responsible. It helps to imagine solutions for adapting and building resilience.
This video features Michael and Angelica, two young people from the Lumad indigenous community on the southern island of Mindanao. They talk about what the workshops with the CCNCI have taught them and what it has changed for them.
