It is with great enthusiasm that Viva Salud and the Health Coalition<\/a> are organising a performance of the play URGENCE as part of a week of solidarity with carers. Riches Claires theatre<\/a> in Brussels on Saturday 9 March at 7pm!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Documentary theatre<\/strong> on our healthcare system<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Faithful to its commitments to documentary theatre<\/strong> over the last ten years and through a number of productions in Belgium and beyond, the Compagnie Adoc will present its show Emergency<\/em><\/a><\/strong>. At the heart of her work has always been the need to bring to the stage the day-to-day realities of men and women who, in their jobs and in their lives, are bearing the full brunt of the consequences of harmful European policies and increasing budgetary austerity in our public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emergency<\/em> looks at the state of our healthcare system and its workers<\/strong> who, over the last few years, have constantly mobilised and raised the alarm about their situation, the lack of resources, the lack of staff and the lack of places in hospitals... Emergency<\/em> bears witness to these observations, to the suffering of nursing staff in distress, expressing their powerlessness in the face of deplorable working conditions, and all this without any consequent reaction from European governments... Emergency<\/em> also shows us what it would be like to live in a world where everyone's needs are at the centre of our concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World events regularly remind us how vital it is for our societies to preserve a strong public service accessible to all. A system that ensures that no-one has to choose between survival and treatment... The need to speak out is urgent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the run-up to the show, Viva Salud is organising a free round-table aperitif for all those interested from 5.00 to 6.30 p.m.<\/strong> at the CSC 150m from Les Riches-Claires!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme, three discussion tables on the working conditions of healthcare staff, access to healthcare for the LGBTQI+ community, and the shrinking democratic space for those defending human rights.<\/strong> of these health heroes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These discussions are intended to be friendly and accessible to the general public, so all we ask is that you confirm your attendance using the form below. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6\ufe0e The play is open to children aged 14 and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25b6\ufe0e<\/a> Allow around 1h30 for the performance (including a discussion with Cie Adoc and Viva Salud). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
