A memorandum drafted and supported by Viva Salud, FOS<\/a>, SolSoc<\/a>, Solidaris<\/a>, CM<\/a>, WSM<\/a>, Congodorpen<\/a> and Memisa<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health is a subject that concerns all citizens and, consequently, all Belgian political parties. However, our health does not stop at national borders, as the COVID-19 pandemic has once again painfully shown. If our state of health is linked to that of other people in the world, access to care and medicines - among other things - also depends largely on international dynamics. Dynamics<\/strong> which are not limited to health as such, but which involve all areas of the international community: from gender to economics, including trade relations and international financing. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health cannot be separated from its social determinants and from the international structure that supports health inequalities. This is why the above-mentioned organisations, brought together in the Platform's Working Group on the Determinants of International Health Be-cause Health<\/a>, have drawn up this memorandum on health and international solidarity. We cite a number of international areas that perpetuate health inequalities and put forward concrete policy solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
