She was coordinator of the Karapatan local department on the island of Negros in the Philippines. In addition to her commitment to human rights, she was also a member of the Board of Directors of our partner, the Council for Health and Development, a national umbrella organisation for basic health programmes, where she defended the Filipino people's right to health.<br><br>In November 2019, we had a fascinating interview with Zara about her commitment to the Filipino people and the fight for the right to health and social justice.
