Since October 2023, Palestinian healthcare has been systematically undermined. Hospitals are being attacked, medical infrastructure is being destroyed, and health workers are being killed. Yet a significant part of the international medical community remains conspicuously silent.
With the End Medical Complicity campaign, End Medical Complicitywe are asking medical organisations to take up their responsibility. Medical neutrality means that patients, health workers and healthcare facilities must be protected, even during war and occupation. It does not mean that medical organisations should remain silent when that protection is systematically violated.

The Israeli Medical Association (IMA) is a memberthe World Medical Association (WMA)the international umbrella organisation of national medical associations. The campaign calls on the WMA to suspend the IMA to suspend the IMA over its inadequate response to the violence against Palestinian health workers and the destruction of Palestinian healthcare.
From 7 to 10 October, the WMA will meet in Rotterdam for its General Assembly.Viva Salud will be there together with other organisations to press for a clear response.
You can help put pressure on too. Send an email (FR) to the Belgian Association of Medical Unions (BVAS/ABSyM) and ask them to support the call for the IMA's suspension.
